AKOS 9137 - Introduction
Benzotriazole-1-carboxamidine is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H5C3H2N3(BTOAC). It is a white crystalline solid, soluble in water and organic solvents.
Benzotriazole-1-carboxamidine has a wide range of applications in organic synthesis. It can be used as a catalyst for oxidation reaction, reduction reaction, cyclization reaction and other organic synthesis reaction. In addition, it can also be used for selective functionalization reactions and carbon-carbon bond formation reactions in organic synthesis.
There are two main methods for preparing benzotriazole -1-carboxamidine. One is the reaction of benzotriazole -1-carbonitrile and methyl sulfate to produce benzotriazole -1-methyl ester, which is then esterified and reduced to produce benzotriazole -1-formamidine. Another method is the reaction of benzotriazole-L-carboxamide with methyl sulfate to produce benzotriazole-L-methyl ester, which is then reduced to produce benzotriazole-L-carboxamidine.
Regarding the safety information of benzotriazole-1-formamidine, it is relatively stable at room temperature, but may burn or explode under the conditions of high temperature, strong oxidant and strong acid. Care should be taken to avoid contact with these substances. In addition, the compound is also irritating and direct contact with the skin and eyes should be avoided. Use and storage should follow safe operating procedures and maintain a well-ventilated working environment.
